Meet the Winners of the 2026 Fantasy Island Toys LEGO Championship! 

This year marked our fifth annual LEGO Championship, and once again, our young builders showed us what's possible with a pile of bricks and a big imagination. Original LEGO creations were on display right here at Fantasy Island Toys for our community to enjoy since early August.

Friends, family, customers, and LEGO fans helped us celebrate these builders by voting in-store and showing their favorites some love online. This year even brought a little LEGO Championship history.

Ages 7–9: Our First-Ever Tie!

For the first time in five years, the votes ended in a tie. Congratulations to:

Most Loved Online

We introduced a brand-new award this year: Most Loved Online. Each like on an entry's Facebook photo counted as a vote, giving our online community a chance to cheer on their favorite builders.

We love handing out gift certificate to all of the entries and announcing winners. Our favorite part of this event is still watching what kids create when they're given a pile of bricks and permission to let their imaginations run wild.

We're proud of every builder who entered this year. Thank you to the parents and grandparents who helped transport some very carefully constructed LEGO creations to the store, and to everyone who stopped by to admire the entries, cast a vote, and cheer these kids on.

Four years of building and celebrating some seriously talented LEGO fans. We're already looking forward to what year SIX brings.

The Ultimate LEGO Championship is Back for its 5th Year!

Calling all young builders! Get ready for one of our favorite traditions of the year: the Ultimate LEGO Championship.

Whether you dream up towering castles, bustling cities, incredible creatures, or something the world has never seen before, this is your chance to let your imagination take the lead. Build an original LEGO creation, show off your creativity, and compete for the title of Ultimate LEGO Champion.

How It Works

August 10 – 16
Drop off your completed LEGO creation at Fantasy Island Toys. Please make sure your creation is easy to transport and no larger than 14.5" x 14.5".

August 17 – September 4
Your masterpiece will be displayed in our store windows while the community votes for their favorites.

September 4
Winners will be announced during the First Friday Fairhope Ave. event at 7 pm.

Every participant will receive a commemorative participation ribbon, and winners in each age division will take home prizes and, of course, some serious bragging rights.

Official Rules

• The competition is open to builders of all ages.
• Age categories include:
  • Ages 6 and Under
  • Ages 7–9
  • Ages 10+
  • One Overall Winner: Ultimate LEGO Champion
• Participants should build individually.
• Creations must be no larger than 14.5" x 14.5", the size of an official LEGO baseplate. If you do not use a baseplate, please transport your creation on a piece of cardboard measuring the same size.
• Parents are encouraged to cheer on their builders, but the building should be completed by the participant.
• There is no theme for the 2026 competition. Build whatever your imagination inspires.
• Entries must be original creations using only official LEGO bricks and elements. No custom or modified pieces may be used.
• Creations must be dropped off between August 10 and August 16.

Community Voting

Voting will take place August 17 through September 4 at 5:00 PM.

You can vote in two ways, and votes from all methods will be combined:

• In Store: One vote per person, per day at Fantasy Island Toys.
• Facebook: Like the individual photo of your favorite creation.

• Design & Detail
• Storytelling or Theme
• Overall WOW Factor

Awards

• Prize for each age category winner
• One Overall Ultimate LEGO Champion
• Participation ribbon for every builder

By entering, participants grant Fantasy Island Toys permission to photograph their creation and builder for display and promotional purposes.

Most importantly, the Ultimate LEGO Championship is about bringing our community together, celebrating creativity, and inspiring a lifelong love of building with LEGO. We can't wait to see what you create!
